Weltmeister 2006

The past few weeks have got me watching nearly every match, courtesy of .:๑۩๑ Badude© ๑۩๑ :. generiousity. Of course i watch selected matches coz some matches are pointless to watch(England matches particularly). There are some teams that i have high hopes but failed to impress after the first round. There are teams that really impress me every single match so far.

This year's WM 2006 was supposed to be a year of upsets. But sadly the only person upset is me coz the teams that i tot will upset others upset-ted me. Among the teams i expect to upset, only Ghana made the cut. I was dreaming of Costa Rica reaching the second round and eliminating England via Paulo Wanchope solo goal beating the likes of Terry and blasting past Robinson. In the end leaving Eriksson looking lost as he always do on tv.

But.

Ecaudor had to be over-awed by the England team and lose pretty unconvincingly.


Now that England faces Portugal, i'm looking forward a humble thrashing by Figo & co. No way will England get past them. If they do, They prob have the largest slice of luck ever seen in this WM.

Actually only barely started my soccer analysis, but with my boss hovering around the office like vultures swooping for stale meat, i shall give a low-down on the results of second round Part 2.

Second round part 2:

Italien vs Aussie
If u notice the second round mathches played over the weekend, you will realise all teams that top their respective groups won. So this time the second round matches palyed later today and teusday will see teams coming secon in their groups stages to win, with the exception of Brazil.
So Aussie backed with the hinddinkiindikdidk effect will truimph with strong fightbacks. a good match to watch.

Swiss vs Ukraine
Enuff said, Ukraine will regain some form and beat the hell out of swiss for dumping south korea.

Brazil vs Ghana
the only way brazil will be dumped out of WM will be tru penalties shoot-out. Unless Ghana can do some voodoo magic without their impt Essien, brazil can smaba their way to the semis, at least.

Spain vs France
Spain will suffer their curse yet again to the french. France will go out soon but not this round.


Teams to look out for:

Germany
If there is any match u wan to watch, watch germany matches. They attack rite from the start. Never have they played badly tru this tournament. Been impressed by their focus to win beatuifully. Now in the quarter-finals against Argentina, I doubt i will see them in the semi-finals. But the German fans are crazy and entertaining. If u r watching on TV. Klinsmann is as drama as any fan u see in the stadium. For any comedy, there will be a happy and sad face. Look at Kahn grim face for extended comic effect.

Argentina
Much has been said about Messi, but the guy to be very afriad is Carlos Tevez. A combi of Rooney and Robben. Lethal and bull-dog like. Look like WWF wrestler and sprint fast too. On paper, Argentina looks strong. They play VERY well. If they head out at the Quarter-finals it wud be a waste. Rooting them all the way to Finals.

Ghana and Aussie
The fight back teams. Their team spirit very amazing. gg to be a freaking entertaing match whenever they play.

England
Watch them play and get thrash by Portugal. they deserve it.
